With the patch, running bolt-actions are perfectly viable and change up the playstyle immensely. I also don't believe that keeping the weapons as is will increase challenge. Besides, I assumed most people played BL2 for the loot, not for a challenge. For the 90% that do play for the loot, I see no reason why the patch is a bad idea.
