UPDATE: Infinity Ward has released the full list of patch notes for its latest update to Call of Duty: Ghosts. Most of the tweaks seem relatively minor in the grand scheme of things, though the 4k display option sounds rad for those with 4k displays. Read the full list on the official Call of Duty: Ghosts site.
ORIGINAL STORY: A patch for the PC version of Call of Duty: Ghosts is available, Infinity Ward has announced.
Reddit user 'mkapex1' reports the patch reduces the minimum amount of RAM required to run the game. Ghosts had required 6GB of RAM to run, but the new 400MB update to the PC version means it now requires 4GB.

While the patch notes remain unavailable (Infinity Ward said they will be released soon), players say it combats menu stutter and adds eSports rules alongside Broadcaster Mode.

And here is comes a new challenger. A couple of days ago, a Ramfix was released for Activision’s Call of Duty: Ghosts. Yes, that tool (or should we say ‘cracked’ executable file) allowed the game to run on systems with less than 6GB of RAM, however the only mode that was available was its Single Player mode. Modder ‘master131’ has come to the rescue though and released a new tool that unlocks the RAM requirement, makes both SP and MP available, and does not alter the game’s executable files.
Those interested can download the latest version of this tool – called Ghosts RAM Fix – from here. As the modder noted, those that have previously used other RAM fixes (such as Steam006’s solution) will have to verify their game cache by following these steps, otherwise the tool may not work.
1. Load Steam
2. From the Library section, right-click on the game (Call of Duty: Ghosts – Multiplayer) and select Properties from the menu.
3. Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game cache… button.
4. Steam will verify the game’s files – this process may take several minutes.
5. Once the process is completed, the Check Window will automatically exit.
In related news, a new FOV tool has appeared that works in both the SP and MP mode. Created by byAgentRev, maker of the tool for MW2 and MW3, this new FOV changer can be downloaded from here.
Last but not least, Infinity Ward has released an update for Call of Duty: Ghosts, though there is no changelog as of yet for it. In case you’re wondering then no – this update does not remove the 6GB requirement.
