    Yep, it worked. I ended up having to download the whole thing with CyberGhost running.
    That was frustrating, and we should not have to go thru hoops like that to get the game installed.
    I was going to head to the official forums, but I can't log in there because they can't verify my character loggin in the last 14 days or something.

    So i have great news if you are using the ffxiv client. Instead go to steam download the free trial and it will install 8 gb and then you will get the launcher. Sign in and bam done. So the TL DR use steam and get the trial version to download the game. Then if you want move the files somewhere else or whatever. I hope this works for others.

MISCELLANEOUS

  1. This Agreement shall be governed by, construed, interpreted and executed in accordance with the laws of the state of California without regard to its conflicts of law provisions.

  2. If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall be fully effective and enforceable.

  3. Licensor and you hereby irrevocably agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of California state and its federal courts in connection with any proceeding, suit or action arising out of or in connection with this Agreement.

NO WAIVER

  1. No waiver by Licensor of any term, provision or condition of this Agreement, whether by conduct or otherwise, in any one or more instances, shall be deemed to be or be construed as a further or continuing waiver of any such term, provision or condition or as a waiver of any other term, provision or condition of this Agreement. Furthermore, no failure or delay by Licensor in exercising its rights or remedies constitute a waiver by Licensor.
