Crusader Kings II is a 'Grand Strategy' title pieced together by the self-proclaimed masters of the genre. Amassing over 15,000 'Very Positive' reviews since its initial 2012 release date, it's original European setting eventually stretched to include regions like India alongside over 40 additional DLC and content packs. Paradox Interactive Development Studios have today released a new patch for Crusader Kings II, which brings it up to version 2.7.2 and adds general balance changes, AI improvements and plenty of bugfixes. Here's the full list of changes below:

Changelog:

  • When a Secret Religious Cult reveals itself, all members will join in the conversion instead of just the ones in the same realm
  • The AI is now more often unsuccessful in recruiting new members to Secret Religious Cults
  • Priests, Zealous characters and Paranoid characters are now much less likely to join a secret cult
  • Characters accused of Apostasy (with the modifier) can no longer Induce Sympathy, Induct or Invite characters to Secret Cults
  • The cooldown between inviting/inducting characters into Secret Cults increased to 10 years from 5
  • The AI is now less likely to recruit/induct characters into cults if they are in a realm without a player
  • Lowered the maximum amount of members the AI can recruit into Secret Religious Cults to a more modest number (from 370 to 91)
  • Characters in Secret Religious Cults can now only use Prepare Grounds in counties they or their vassals own
  • The AI is now much less inclined to create a secret religious cult just because their liege is a player
  • Diplomatic immunity now also prevents release from prison, banishment, and execution

  • When one AI tells another 'get your ass over here' the other AI is now willing to cancel a siege it only just started to actually get 'over here'
  • The AI will no longer think that just because going back to Rome with its army briefly seemed like a good idea, it should continue going there even if it becomes apparent going to Rome is a terrible idea
  • The AI will no longer decide that gathering up to join its allies is a terrible idea just because there's nothing to siege in that friendly province
  • Fixed an issue where targets of Tainted Touch would get the effects of Soul Corruption rather than the caster
  • Fixed giving someone multiple gifts on the same day causing the opinion bonus to stack, then disappear entirely on the next day
  • Fixed one way government type could switch away from Tribal on succession for no apparent reason
  • Fixed epidemics in some cases never ending due to being stuck on islands
  • Fixed the Black Death in some cases never ending due to the end date not working

  • If a Secret Religious Cult ends up without a Grandmaster, they will now disband
  • Characters not in a society can low lose suspicion level
  • When revealing your Secret Cults your suspicion level is reset
    • No longer possible to sacrifice the same person to Satan multiple times

    The first of the updates issued alongside the paid Monks & Mystics DLC, patch 2.7 comes free of charge to those unwilling to grab the extra content offered by the newest expansion - and brings a monolithic amount of changes alongside it.       • You'll now lose some Threat if dying causes you to lose land
      • Capitals can now be moved every 50 years rather than once per lifetime. Nomads still get to move it every 10 years
      • When eating your prisoners, you can now attract a non-serious disease
      • Landed characters now pick a plot if they have none considerably more often; on average after 12 months

      • Fixed the AI sometimes cancelling its movements due to not realizing that doing so would mean that there are now fewer troops on the way to the target province
      • Fixed the AI sometimes getting horribly confused when merging a lot of armies at once
      • Fixed an issue where the army AI would overestimate its troops in any given province by a factor of two, leading to erratic movement
      • Fixed the logic for the AI being willing to move to your court based on you being able to press their claim(s) sometimes being wrong

      • Updated the 'Grant Viceroyalty' interaction to include the 'Include Vassal Titles' checkbox
      • The main menu music will now start playing if you unmute it using the main menu settings, even if you started the game with music muted
      • Made the list of titles in the character view slightly wider
      • Clicking a council job action again will now cancel the job assignment
      • Added a sound for gaining a new trait
      • Added a unique skin for the Republic view when playing as Indian

    One of the best strategy game for this year is Crusader Kings II. Crusader Kings II is a great strategy game developed and published by Paradox Interactive as a follow up to Crusader Kings. It was released on 14 February 2012 for Microsoft Windows, with a positive reviews and was released on May 24, 2012 for Mac OS X version by Paradox Interactive.

    The game Crusader Kings II can be described as a dynasty simulator where the player controls a medieval dynasty from 1066 to 1453. Through the strategic use of marriages and murders, among many others, the player tries to achieve success for the dynasty. The simulation is indefinite, that the definition of “success” is entirely determined by the player.

    The game uses a genetic system and education, where children will inherit the characteristics, culture, religion and skills of parents and teacher. This adds an additional strategy for marriages where one player will attempt to replicate the best people to maximize the quality of future offspring.

    There are five levels of power in the game; Four of whom played: Barons (unplayable), Counts / Earls, dukes, kings and emperors. Emperor positions are extremely rare, with only the Holy Roman Empire and the Byzantine Emperor established in 1066 and emperor of the Latin that appear later in the game.
