The Elder Scrolls Online. Home; Game Guide. Story; The Alliance War; Alliances. Daggerfall Covenant; Ebonheart Pact. Installation stuck. So potentially a network issue where it can't connection to the patch servers. Try each of these at a time and see if any help. Post back with results. If The Elder Scrolls Online on your PlayStation 4 is getting stuck at 79% when loading, you should try the following troubleshooting steps: Check your settings to ensure the game is not being blocked by your firewall or router. Check that your PlayStation 4 has enough hard disk drive (HDD) space for download and installation.

First off, sorry for posting a help topic, but the beta forums are down, and I'm trying to get some quick help before the weekend.

I'm trying to update my ESO for the weekend, however, every time I try to update it rechecks my downloaded progress, realizes that the patch is downloaded, tries to install it but gets to 9% and just gets stuck. I've restarted it multiple times, restarted my computer, turned off my firewall and anti virus.. nothing seems to work. Preferably I would like to avoid having to reinstall the client as a whole, but if I must, I must. I'm more frustrated than an Elephant trying to enter a mouse hole at this point.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

EDIT: I suppose I should have reiterated how stuck it is.. it's been at 5352.09 MB remaining for the last 3 hours, and the install speed is declining by about 1kb/s per 10 seconds, it really... makes no sense to me at all.

EDIT 2: Well.. I sent in a ticket, so hopefully they'll respond with some help before mid day tomorrow (in case I have to completely reinstall).. though ill still take any help you guys can give :)

FINAL EDIT: Somehow I managed to fix it, not entirely sure what I did, but it went as follows: After getting stuck at 9% > turned off automatic updates > closed the launcher > re-opened and used the repair tool > repair tool got stuck at 49% > hit cancel > hit update and it froze > force closed launcher > re-opened > turned on automatic updates > and it managed to patch fully without anymore issues

If anyone else gets this issue, I have no clue if this will fix it for some miraculous reason or if it was just by pure chance that it fixed mine.. but hopefully it gives some peace of mind to anyone else that may encounter this problem.
